In 2015, we became the first school in Cornwall to achieve ‘The Leading Parent Partnership Award’ which demonstrated our commitment to working with and alongside parents. Since then, we have worked to build trusting and supportive relationships with our parents, especially during and since Covid-19.
During the school closures, our parents communicated the additional need they needed with home learning tasks with their children , so we responded with the support they needed. This has reinforced the importance of parental involvement in school life to staff and parents.
We believe that that building and sustaining effective and purposeful working relationships between home and school are the key to achieving optimal results in children’s learning.
We want to bring parents back into school and enjoy learning alongside their own children.
