Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with the Local Monitoring Committee of Trewirgie Infants’ School are seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a Student Welfare Officer and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

As our Student Welfare Officer and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead you will:
- Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding practice.
- Provide pastoral care and emotional support for children and families, helping to remove barriers to learning.
- Support with attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing initiatives across the school.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure effective support.
- Supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, maintaining a calm and positive learning environment.
This role can be done alongside our currently advertised Cover Supervisor role.

- Has experience in a pastoral or safeguarding role (school-based experience desirable).

About The Role:

There will be other opportunities to cover other classes as and when needed.
This is an exciting role to cover a class of children to keep them engaged and continue with their learning. We look forward to a supervisor who can maintain a calm and positive learning environment.
This role can be done alongside our currently advertised Student Welfare Officer and DDSL role.
